Talks of a 10 Things I Hate About You sequel have been going around for a while now; however, it finally seems like it’s really happening. Entitled 10 Things I Hate About Life, the film will be written and directed by the original’s director Gil Junger. (It’s unclear what William Shakespeare’s contribution will be this time around.) It stars Evan Rachel Wood and Thomas McDonell as two people who are about to commit suicide before they meet and fall in love with each other. No, they aren’t playing Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger’s characters from the original, making the film less a direct sequel and more a “thematic spinoff.” As long as someone cries and reads a numeric poem, call it whatever you want.
