A sequel to The Heat was in the works before the film actually came out, grossing nearly $230 million worldwide. Though the sequel is still a possibility, Deadline reports that Paul Feig is also developing a spinoff that focuses on Beth and Gina, the characters played by Jamie Denbo and Jessica Chaffin. Feig has been working with the duo for some time, as he directed the Ronna & Beverly pilot for Showtime and produced the British talk show they made for Sky Atlantic as those characters. The story line is still being worked out, but we’d be fine if it were just them asking people if they are or aren't narcs.
