Devil’s Knot is a film from Oscar-nominated director Atom Egoyan about the well-known West Memphis Three case from the early nineties, in which three teenage boys were convicted of the murder of three children in West Memphis, Arkansas, despite what many considered to be significant evidence of their innocence (which eventually led to their release from jail in 2011). The film stars Reese Witherspoon as the mother of one of the murdered kids, and Colin Firth as an investigator on the case. The film doesn’t have a release date set, but is expected for spring of 2014. After that, can we get Witherspoon and Firth in a rom-com ASAP?
