When we first wrote about Jessica Brown Findlay being cast in the film version version of Mark Helprin's Winter's Tale, Downton Abbey’s Lady Sybil was alive and well and not yet pregnant with her Irish-radical baby. A year and a half later, it’s a whole different story, but at least there’s a trailer for Akiva Goldsman’s directorial debut to help dry our tears. Here, Findlay falls for Colin Farrell when he tries to break into her house and she, adorably, offers him tea. He’s a thief, she’s a poor dying girl, and Russell Crowe is a bad guy. As in Kate & Leopold — the other time-travel love story where someone falls off a bridge — presumably, love conquers all. Find out if we’re right when the movie opens on (when else?) Valentine’s Day.
