To the surprise of no one, Beyoncé has remained in her throne atop the charts for a second week, with Beyoncé selling another 374,000 copies — putting the album within striking distance of one million copies sold. (Right now the count is at 991,000, according to Billboard.) So far this surprise album has out-sold 2011’s 4, which sold 310,000 copies in its first week and 115,000 in its second. For those keeping score, Beyoncé has been available for barely two weeks, and it’s already the year’s twelfth best-selling album.
