Halle Berry is producing a miniseries for the History Channel about Hannibal Barca, the general from ancient Carthage, the network announced today. The working title is Hannibal, which apparently no one at History thinks is taken already by a show currently on the air. This Hannibal was born in 264 BC and grew up to be the guy who marched war elephants across the Alps, which is, one supposes, a little more impressive than artistically sautéing human pancreas. Let the era of sword-and-sandal miniseries never end!
