Jessica Lange has signed on to play Mark Wahlberg's put-upon mother in The Gambler, according to Deadline. The movie, directed by Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Rupert Wyatt, is a remake of the 1974 film of the same name, which starred James Caan as a college professor with a gambling addiction so out of control that he steals money from his own mom (played by Jacqueline Brookes). This remake has been kicking around in a few different iterations for what feels like forever, but now it's really happening. Lange and Wahlberg, together at last.
