If Kevin Hart really is the biggest working stand-up today, he’s about to get a whole lot bigger with the announcement that he’ll play LeBron James’ brother in the basketball star’s big screen debut. The Wrap writes that Ballers was supposed to happen back in 2011 but producers Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg had to table it because “James’ Miami Heat lost in the NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks [and] James would’ve come under fire if he spent the summer shooting a movie rather than working on his game.” Now that he has two championship rings though, James can feel free to chase his dreams. His other dreams, assuming basketball is still the first one. Anyway, little else is known about the project at this point, but it’s probably safe to assume that the James/Hart pairing will look something like this.
