NBC Making a Rosemary’s Baby Miniseries

NBC has green-lit a four-hour miniseries adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby, the network announced today. Ira Levin’s 1967 book was, duh, already adapted into Roman Polanski’s hugely iconic 1968 film — which might be why this miniseries will be set in Paris instead of New York. Agnieszka Holland (Treme, The Wire, Europa Europa) will direct, and casting will begin immediately. Let’s see, a remake of a thing that already has a canonical version, and it’s something no one needs a remake of … might we suggest Carrie Underwood?
