Watch Ron Burgundy Anchor a Real Nightly News Program

The Ron Burgundy press tour is alive and well, having found its way to North Dakota’s KX News, where an in-character Will Ferrell took over the anchor desk Saturday. Unsurprisingly, Ferrell is the most exciting part of the 30-minute local broadcast, where Slope County’s efforts to curb speeding with dummy squad cars is a major story. (We’d also like to give serious props to co-anchor Amber Schatz for keeping a straight face — through most of it, anyway.) As one commenter on the video broadcast wrote, “Thanks for not telling us to go F ourselves!” Let’s hope the same can be said when Burgundy takes over the SportsCenter desk later this month.
