The Mickey Mouse Club of the late eighties and early nineties gave us Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russell, among others. The show is looked back on … if not fondly then at least occasionally. But that show was not the only game in town! The Disney Channel started out with Kids Incorporated, an early role for Fergie, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Mario Lopez, among other children forced to wear the garish clothing that was customary at the time. Kids Incorporated, with its singing and dancing and constant crises, brought us this truly horrendous special New Year’s episode, “Rock in the New Year.” It is even more grating than you could possibly remember. Sorry, 1986.
