We were going to act offended, but what difference do days of the week make when it comes the Primetime Emmys? We’re all going to be wearing sweatpants and cracking wise on Twitter regardless. NBC was probably betting on that fact when they announced Monday, August 25 as this year’s Emmys air date. Apparently the network had to move the awards show up a month to avoid conflict with NFL game days. Hey, air the Emmys at 4 a.m. on Christmas Day if you want. The people who are going to watch them are going to watch them.
