‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Ratings Don’t Improve Despite Two Golden Globe Wins

Fox’s acclaimed new comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine won some big awards this weekend, but that didn’t effect its ratings for its first episode since the wins. At Sunday’s Golden Globes, Brooklyn won more awards than any other comedy, taking home the “Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy” and the “Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy (Actor)” award for star Andy Samberg. The show’s new episode last night didn’t reflect the awards attention, earning a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49, down 10% from its previous new episode, although part of the low ratings are due to its unpopular lead-in, Dads. Maybe the show’s big Super Bowl episode next month with guest Adam Sandler will give it the ratings it needs.
