It appears Daniel Radcliffe will continue his streak of period pieces. It was announced that Rads will star in Brooklyn Bridge, a movie about — you guessed it — the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Radcliffe will play Washington Roebling, the relatively inexperienced engineer who took over the job of building the bridge after his dad, the original engineer, died of complications stemming from foot surgery. Oh, the 1860s, when men died of foot injuries and people got incredibly large-scale and complicated civil-works jobs like someone today might get a gig running a hardware store or diner.
