Gone With the Wind’s Alicia Rhett Passes Away

Gone With The Wind actress Alicia Rhett, who played bee to Scarlett O'Hara's bonnet India Wilkes, passed away Friday at 98 due to natural causes. A lifelong artist and resident of South Carolina, Rhett was among the oldest surviving GWTW cast members alongside Olivia de Havilland. Interesting enough, the sweeping 1939 epic was actually Rhett's solitary movie credit, probably because she realized she had nailed acting in a timeless film classic on her first and only try. Well played, Ms. Rhett.
