Seeing as how Mo'Nique has been lying low since her 2009 Best Supporting Actress win for Precious, we can only assume she's been biding her time until the next choice "terrible mother" role came her way. Luckily for us, that time has come. Mo'Nique has joined the Patrik Ian Polk film Blackbird as both an executive producer and an unsupportive mom to a young gay son in a conservative Mississippi town. Mo'Nique's character also apparently blames her son's sexuality for the disappearance of her daughter, which would almost put the role into Precious territory, if Precious's mom wasn't the most inconceivably horrible onscreen mother of all time.
