Cult hit ABC sitcom Happy Endings may be off the air, but the show’s creator/showrunner, David Caspe, is developing a new show. NBC has given a pilot order to Marry Me, a new comedy created by Caspe, Deadline reports. Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) is set to direct the half-hour single-camera comedy that is said to be in the vein of Mad About You. Marry Me follows a young couple who get engaged but find preparing to get married to be harder than they had thought. This is the second comedy pilot NBC has ordered for the 2014-15 season following the Will Ferrell-produced Kate Walsh vehicle Bad Judge. Tina Fey’s Tooken, starring Ellie Kemper, and Craig Robinson’s Mr. Robinson have both been ordered straight to series by NBC.
