Deadline reports that The Ballad of Jack & Rose director Rebecca Miller will helm the upcoming “romantic comedy of manners” Maggie’s Plan with Greta Gerwig as the lead. Let’s just hope Maggie’s plan isn’t to fly to Paris for 48 hours totally alone, because that’s bound to blow up in her face. When asked to describe the plot, Miller said, “It’s the story of a young woman and the joys and pitfalls of trying to make your own way in New York City,” an almost comically vague description that also perfectly describes Greta Gerwig’s whole delightful deal.
