The winners at last night’s SAG awards weren’t particularly surprising: As he did at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, Matthew McConaughey landed the male lead prize for Dallas Buyers Club; Cate Blanchett got another female lead statue for Blue Jasmine; and Lupita Nyong’o got her second big award for her supporting role in 12 Years a Slave. This time around, American Hustle beat out 12 Years a Slave for the night’s top honor: Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. On the TV front, Modern Family and Breaking Bad took home the most honors, though small-screen actresses Maggie Smith and Julia Louis-Dreyfus snagged the top awards for Downton Abbey and Veep.
