Earlier this afternoon, a big piece of casting news arrived: New York comedian Sasheer Zamata would be joining Saturday Night Live, effective immediately. Though she’ll be new to much of the SNL audience, Zamata has been a staple of the New York comedy scene since 2009, through her involvement with the UCB theatre.
