Steven Moffat Wants to Do More Sherlock

Sherlock’s third season is already airing in the U.K. and will premiere in the U.S. on January 19, but forward ever forward, friends: What comes next? Executive producer Steven Moffat says he and co-creator Mark Gatiss have sketched out plans for two more seasons. “Rather excitingly, Mark and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus … and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future,” he said at a BAFTA event last night. “And we plotted out the whole of series four and five.” Given how long it took to get season three under way, it’s probably best not to get too invested just yet. “Our plans don’t tend to be ‘Let’s blow up the world or cast the most famous person in the world,’” Moffat said. “They tend to be ‘What exciting twists and turns can we add to this?’ And I think we’ve got some crackers.” Oooh, crackers.
