When we saw Jesse driving furiously off into the distance at the end of Breaking Bad, it was hard not to wonder what was next for him. The first we saw of him, in the trailer for Need for Speed, he was seeking vengeance for the murder of a friend and being framed for a crime, which doesn't seem like a healthy next step in life. And now, in the trailer for A Long Way Down, he is playing a guy who wants to commit suicide. He is joined by Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, and his Need for Speed co-star Imogen Poots. Together they play a group of strangers who meet on New Year's Eve, as they all try to jump off the same building. They then form a pact to support each other and not end their own lives. It is based on a book by Nick Hornby. Though it sounds pretty dark, all things considered, this is the happiest character Aaron Paul has played in a while.
