Watch Edgar Wright Discuss Mastering the Close-up

Edgar Wright has made a name for himself as a director by being able to make comedies that visually feel like the genres they're parodying. One of his many tricks for doing this is close-ups. In the below video from Slash Film, Wright dives deep into how he uses them to cut between scenes, subverting the classic "tooling up" montage, and the comic timing of Michael Cera's shoe-tying. Watch it below and get excited for all the close-ups that are going to be in Ant Man. So, many ants, man.
