According to Deadline, Evangeline Lilly is “in early talks” to join Ant-Man as the film’s female lead. Oddly enough, some insiders say Lilly might play the role of Ant-Man Hank Pym’s daughter and love interest to Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, despite the fact that Hank Pym did not have a daughter in the Ant-Man comics. By that same standard of logic, it’s also possible Evangeline Lilly is actually playing some kind of lady cyborg supervillain with whom Scott Lang engages in a dark erotic liaison. That’s probably not canon either but, hey, if they’re going to change it up a little, actually change it up a little.
