Fox Is Making a Buddy Comedy Based on Kim Jong-un and Dennis Rodman’s Relationship

Last year, Dennis Rodman drew criticism for visiting North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, befriending him, and organizing a basketball game there, and now Fox is making a movie about it. Ride Along director Tim Story has signed on to direct a movie loosely based on the pair’s friendship and Rodman’s trip to the dictator’s country, THR reports. The movie is called Diplomats and it was sold off of a pitch, with the script not having been written yet.

Kim Jong-un is also a major character in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s next directorial feature, The Interview, which stars Franco and Rogen as a talk show host and his producer, respectively, who get an interview with Kim Jong-un (played by Randall Park, Veep) and tasked by the CIA with assassinating him.
