Jennifer Aniston in Talks to Star in ‘Mean Girls’-Esque Movie ‘Mean Moms’

Jennifer Aniston is “in early talks” to star in Mean Moms, a Mean Girls-esque big-screen comedy being directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller, who served as SNL’s in-house director from 1995-2006, Variety reports. Although the comedy is not a sequel to Mean Girls, it’s based on the same set of advice books for parents by Rosalind Wiseman. The plot follows a mother of two who moves to the upscale suburbs and meets a bunch of very competitive parents, and the studio is expected to be looking for big names to round out the all-female cast. The project, originally announced last summer, will mark the feature directorial debut of McCarthy-Miller, who, in addition to spending over a decade directing SNL, has directed episodes of 30 Rock, Community, and Parks and Rec.
