Kanye West might have started his Late Night interview as serious and stone-faced as he always is, what with his "freeing" face masks and his synesthesia and his declarations that "everything in the world is exactly the same," but once Seth Meyers showed a clip of Kanye's SNL VMA pumpkin-patch spoof from 2007, Yeezy seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself. "Life is life. There are ups and downs," Kanye enthused. "They will give an eight-year-old the best pumpkin at any given time and you just have to be prepared for these types of things." That's the spirit, Yeezy.
He also performed a stripped-down medley -- "Jesus Walks", "Touch the Sky", "Stronger", "Heartless", "All of the Lights", "Mercy", and "Black Skinhead." Yep, Kanye's killing the talk show: "That's why I do TV. That's why I come and do talk shows, so you guys can have an ERRRR in the matrix every now and then."
