This season of Psych will be the show’s last, USA announced this afternoon. The show will finish its eight-season run (!) on March 26, at which point Shawn and Gus will be assumed into heaven. Psych is currently USA’s longest-running show, having started in 2006; Royal Pains and White Collar both started in 2009, Covert Affairs in 2010, Suits in 2011, and Graceland in 2013. One figures there’s a sunshine-laden odd-couple cop or lawyer or doctor show where they’re legally allowed to say shit once per episode waiting in the wings to take its place.
