There’s Already a Sequel to ‘The Lego Movie’ in the Works


The new animated comedy The Lego Movie is coming out this weekend, but the studio behind it has already started work on a sequel. The Wrap reports that Jared Stern (The Internship, Mr. Popper’s Penguins) has been hired to co-write the sequel with an unnamed writer. “Advanced market research” says that the movie will be a big hit when it comes out this weekend, and it’s been receiving unanimous critical acclaim so far. Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), The Lego Movie features a voice cast that includes Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, and more.
