On Friday night, Bill Murray greeted Late Night host David Letterman by flying through the air in a Peter Pan costume. Full of surprises lately, Murray explained that he’d heard what a big deal Sound of Music Live was and would like to audition for the lead in NBC’s next live-action musical venture. Later in the show, Murray even let David Letterman shave his beard for no other reason than that he was tired of it. The stunt follows quite a line of outlandish entrances Murray’s made on Late Night, including that time he staged his own kidnapping, that time he belted "I Will Always Love You," and the one where he dressed up like Liberace. At least you know he’s good on the spot, NBC!
