Louie will return for its long-awaited fourth season Monday, May 5, FX announced today. This season will have 14 episodes, even though FX only ordered 13 — Louie C.K. just had more to give, apparently. Season three of Louie ended all the way back in September of 2012, after which C.K. announced that he needed a longer break before season four. (Recall that he does everything for the show: writes, directs, produces, stars in, even edits.) At the time, a year-plus hiatus felt like forever, but now May 5 seems so soon. Ah, Louie, we have so missed your brilliant, bleak hilarity.
