‘This Is the End’ and ‘Anchorman 2’ Earn MTV Movie Award Nominations

MTV unveiled their list of Movie Awards nominees this morning, and because MTV is fond of including a bunch of silly categories like “Best Shirtless Performance” and “#WTF Moment,” the comedy world had a much bigger presence on the list than the typical awards show. Both This Is the End and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues scored four nominations, including for cameo scenes from the Rihanna and the Backstreet Boys (This Is the End) as well as Anchorman’s Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Kanye West. The Best Comedic Performance category has only one lady – Melissa McCarthy for The Heat – paired with Jason Sudeikis (We’re the Millers), Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Kevin Hart (Ride Along).
