Here's your first look at Richard Linklater's Boyhood, a coming-of-age story filmed in three- and four-day chunks over the course of 12 years. Star Ellar Coltrane was just 7 years old when filming started, and he's 19 now; even in this brief trailer, watching him literally grow up is quite striking. (Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette, who play the parents, also change a little over the years. Such is life.) The movie wowed audiences at Sundance and is scheduled to open July 11. Just think of how poignantly you'll have aged by then.
