In space, no one can hear your show be constantly compared to Girls. That astronomical fact is excellent news for screenwriter Kristin Gore, daughter of the illustrious Al, who has teamed up with HBO to develop the half-hour comedy Women in Space. The show purportedly tracks the journey of “a group of women exploring the final frontier on a mission to colonize another planet,” a intriguing premise that would really have to go out of its way not to pass the Bechdel Test with flying colors.
