After receiving rave reviews at last year’s Cannes festival, James Gray’s The Immigrant is finally being released Stateside May 16. Here’s a new theatrical trailer for the flick, which stars Marion Cotillard as a Polish immigrant forced into prostitution by a slimy pimp (Joaquin Phoenix), and Jeremy Renner as a magician who tries to save her. There are also some new promotional stills and a freshly photoshopped poster, which is similar to the French poster apart from the absence of Cotillard’s fancy headband. Because as we all know, there is nothing more un-American than a fancy headband.
