The Wrap reports that Jessica Chastain is close to a deal to play Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, Andrew Dominik’s adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’s acclaimed fictionalized biography of the troubled star. Dominik has been trying to adapt the book for years, with Naomi Watts once attached to star. He apparently has been eyeing Chastain for a while. Which makes sense, lest we forget all those years Monroe spent cursing at her superiors at the CIA.
