Here's a trailer for Salem, WGN America's first scripted series, which premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. The Chicago-based cable network has been mainly in the business of Cubs games and Friends reruns until now, but it's taking an ambitious first step into the original content game. Judging by the trailer, Salem is a gory, supernatural, not-totally-accurate portrayal of the Salem witch trials in which the witches are real, and — a twist! — they're the ones conducting the trials. The show faces some serious competition on Sunday nights, but it looks like there are more than enough sultry sorceresses, public floggings, and decapitated wolf heads to appeal to the Game of Thrones crowd. Plus: antlers. Can't ever have enough antlers.
