Perhaps predictably, Syfy has green-lit a third Sharknado movie, according to Adweek. The sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, premieres in July, but the low-budget schlocktaculars more or less spawn themselves. For some reason, Sharknado garnered a huge amount of attention last summer, even though it’s ludicrous plot, garbagetown production values, and C-list cast define just about every Syfy movie. Where’s the threequel for Mansquito? Or Dinocroc vs. Supergator? Dog Soldiers? Mongolian Death Worm? Frankenfish? Flu Bird Horror? Those are all real, and just as terrible as Sharknado.
