There Will Not Be a Dance-Related Flash-Mob at Casey Wilson’s Wedding

Casey Wilson has nuptials on her mind, and it isn’t simply because she’s starring in NBC’s new fall series Marry Me. In a few weeks, she’s getting married in real life to the show’s creator, David Caspe (who also created Wilson’s late, lamented Happy Endings). Here’s what you need to know about the big day: Wilson will be wearing Monique Lhuillier, it’ll be a 200-person wedding — “I invited 1,900; only 200 people could come,” she laughed to Vulture at NBC’s upfronts yesterday — and there won’t be any viral-video moments. “I was going to do a flash-mob dance thing and then I just got ahold of myself,” she told us. “I said, ‘Casey, come on. Been done.’” Another reason why she’s able to let the idea go: She already took part in a filmed matrimonial dance-off when she was a 2006 cast member on Saturday Night Live — though you never got to see it. “It didn’t go to air, but I did this sketch with Steve Martin about a Father of the Bride–like dance-off, where we kept breaking into more and more dances, and I thought, If that was a parody that long ago, I think I don’t need to do a fun dance.”
