HBO just can’t resist Kenny Powers. Well, not exactly – they can’t resist Danny McBride – but that’s pretty close. The network announced today that McBride, along with his Eastbound & Down collaborator Jody Hill, has created a new comedy series entitled Vice Principals. The show will be set in a high school and follow “the people who almost run it, vice principals.” HBO has ordered 18 episodes, though how that will be broken down season-wise is not yet known. Hopefully, unlike teaching kids, McBride will consider vice-principal a “real job,” which, in Powers’s terms, means he can get fucked up.
