Back in March, it was announced that J.K. Rowling was writing a spinoff to the Harry Potter movies, and now the first movie in the trilogy has its release date: November 18, 2016. Adapted from her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which was a textbook referenced in the series, the film will take place 70 years before the Potter stories and follow Newt Scamande, a Magizoologist. There are currently no other films set for November 18, but The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is scheduled for November 20, 2016. It’s going to be a busy week for kids who read, but not that much.
