FX announced in January that it was reteaming with Rescue Me mastermind Denis Leary for a rock-and-roll-set sitcom, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, in which Leary plays Johnny Rock, the washed-up musician who was on track to be the next big thing in the early ‘90s until he ruined it all with addiction and a variety of other bad choices. Now the network has ordered ten episodes of the show, and more importantly, released these bananas images of Leary and his co-stars John Corbett, John Ales, and Robert Kelly all done up as “The Heathens.” Whaaaaat is going on with these wigs? As a period piece or in flashbacks, sure, but present-day spiky mullets? Especially with a comfy-cozy white cardigan/blazer thing? File these photos under “confusing but intriguing.”
