No, longtime Washington, D.C. politician Marion Barry has not been falsely accused of regicide and sentenced to death by his own father, but he was able to laugh about his own brush with the law. Spoilers ahead — don't read if you haven't seen the season finale of Game of Thrones, "The Children."

For those not familiar with the American precursor to Rob Ford, while serving as mayor in 1990, Barry was caught smoking crack with his mistress in an FBI sting. During the videotaped arrest, he lamented, "Bitch set me up ... I shouldn't have come up here ... goddamn bitch." Apparently, he didn't mind the reference:
