Reid Scott, who plays foul-mouthed deputy director of communications Dan Egan on Veep, has joined the cast of Nancy Meyers’s The Intern. The comedy stars Robert De Niro as a senior citizen who joins the intern program at a popular fashion website helmed by Anne Hathaway’s character. According to The Wrap, Scott plays a “smooth-talking, cocky young businessman that Hathaway sees as a possible CEO for her company.” So pretty much the exact same character as Dan, only with better tailoring?
