Charlie McDowell’s directorial debut, The One I Love, stars Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass as a couple who visit a remote couples’ counseling retreat and discover something … unexpected. Peppered with quotes like “an intriguing premise we can’t really discuss here” (from IndieWire) and “a bump into the realm of Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze” (The Hollywood Reporter), the trailer will certainly make you curious to see what sort of surreal twist McDowell has in store, although Moss and Duplass just doing their thing — plus Ted Danson as their therapist — should be reason enough to check it out.
