-Broadway great and 30 Rock scene stealer Elaine Stritch passed away at 89.
-SNL has begun its change-ups for next season: Brooks Wheelan announced that he had been fired from the show, which was quickly followed with the news that John Milhiser, Noel Wells and Nasim Pedrad will also not be returning. SNL still faces a lot of decisions for the upcoming year.
-The CW renewed Whose Line is it Anyway? for a third season.
-Weird Al released his newest album, Mandatory Fun, and a slew of music videos all on different platforms, including Funny or Die, Yahoo! Screen, Nerdist, CollegeHumor and Vevo. He also did a Reddit AMA.
-Danielle Schneider and Dannah Phirman’s The Hotwives of Orlando came out on Hulu and we talked to executive producer Paul Scheer about the show.
-NBC renewed Last Comic Standing for a ninth season.
-VICE.com will be premiering The Jim Norton Show next week.
-We interviewed standups Mark Normand and Joe Wengert about their episodes of The Half Hour premiering tonight.
-A five year comedian’s assistant gave us the hard truths about what it’s like to work for comedians.
