What with Mission Impossible and Bourne, Jeremy Renner has a lot of action franchises in the works right now. But in a recent interview with MTV news, Renner hardly seemed like he was chomping at the bit to make zillions more dollars put his Marvel hero, Hawkeye, at the center of his own feature. As Renner said when asked about the possibility of a Hawkeye spinoff: "I'm happy to be the ensemble. I’m not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means.” Rather, Renner said he sees Hawkeye as "a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit," before adding with an exaggerated, cartoon wink: "Especially like Cap 3." For someone who has spent a whole lot of time doing spy stuff lately, that was so not stealthy.
