HBO Has Ordered a Show from the Flight of the Conchords Guys

It’s been nearly seven years since Flight of the Conchords left television, but according to Jemaine Clement, the musical comedy duo’s break might be nearing its end. The Guardian recently interviewed Clement about his new vampire film What We Do in the Shadows, and when asked about any future plans with his Conchords partner Bret McKenzie he had this to say:

Are the Conchords, dormant at the moment, waiting to erupt again? “We talk about a movie every so often,” says Clement. “Sometimes it feels like we lost a lot of impetus over the last couple of years. But Bret, James [Bobin, lead director] and me, we all want to do a musical. It would be good to do something all together … I miss playing Flight of the Conchords gigs.”

At the end of the interview, Clement also revealed that HBO has “commissioned a new, four-episode comedy show,” though further details on the project have not been revealed. HBO has yet to announce the four-episode series officially.
