TV Guide reports that Yvette Nicole Brown will not be returning to Community next season. Brown requested to be released from her contract so she could spend more time with her ailing father. “The idea of being away 16 hours a day for five months, I couldn’t do it. It was a difficult decision for me to make, but I had to choose my dad.” Because of multi-cam’s more flexible schedule, Brown will still be able to reoccur on CBS’s upcoming midseason replacement The Odd Couple. With Jonathan Banks also leaving to do Better Call Saul — not to mention Donald Glover and Chevy Chase leaving the season before — Community’s study group currently finds itself with four members. TV Guide says they are looking to cast two new characters. Hope they know how to play foosball.
