Sony has been trying to mount a Zombieland sequel since the first movie came out in 2009, and now it looks like one might finally be on the way. Deadline reports that Sony has hired Expendables writer Dave Callaham to pen the script, with Ruben Fleischer returning to direct. No word on whether stars Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, and Jesse Eisenberg — whose careers all skyrocketed since the first movie came out — are planning to return. Still, we’re sure the sequel will do better than the attempted Amazon pilot, which, if you’ll recall, was “hated out of existence.” Ouch.
